Ruth Jenkins, PT, DPT, COMT, CLT
Ruth attended the Queen Elizabeth School of Physiotherapy in Birmingham England, graduating in 1985. She worked in England for two years as a Physical Therapist and then moved to the USA with her husband. She has worked in Washington DC, Maryland, and Orlando Florida prior to moving to Crestview in 2005.
Ruth is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT), with extensive training in joint mobilization and soft tissue techniques for treating Orthopedic conditions. She is one of only 45 therapists in Florida with this certification (the next closest is in Jacksonville Florida). Ruth's training also includes advanced training in Women's health. She has a particular interest in treating pelvic pain disorders such as Pudendal Neuralgia and Vulvodynia. Her practice treats women with Incontinence, Interstitial Cystitis, Pelvic Pain, Endometriosis, Dyspareunia, Osteoporosis, Pregnancy-related conditions, Low Back Pain/Sacroiliac Dysfunction and Orthopedic conditions or Musculoskeletal problems. Ruth has received extensive training in Balance and Vestibular disorders.
Karrie Thompson, DPT
Karrie grew up in Crestview, Florida, graduating from Crestview High School in 2005. She began her undergraduate education at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, graduating in 2008 with her Bachelor's in Health Science. At UF, she received an Outstanding Research Award for her honors thesis project in her final semester. After graduating, she moved to Niceville, Florida. She then attended the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences in Saint Augustine, Florida, graduating in 2014 with her Doctor of Physical Therapy. She has had experience with internships in outpatient orthopedics, skilled nursing facilities, and an assisted living facility. Karrie joined the staff at Manual Therapy in 2015.
Karrie has completed all courses for the Manual Therapy Certification and is looking forward to beginning the testing process to become certified with a MTC.
Karrie’s hobbies include kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, yoga, and camping.
Pamela Steele, PT
Education and Experience
Pam graduated from Southeast Missouri State University, Cape Girardeau, MO, in 1997 with a Bachelor in Science and then completed her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 1999 from Washington University, St. Louis, MO. Pam has resided in Niceville, FL for 18 years. Her work experience includes outpatient orthopedics, home health and skilled nursing facility. Pam joined the Fyzical team in October 2019.
Pam enjoys camping, paddleboarding, kayaking and being active with her husband and two kids.
Janet Jones, PT
Education and Work Experience
For Janet's undergraduate education, she attended University of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2001. She commissioned in the United States Air Force in 2002 and separated from active duty in 2010 to attend Physical Therapy School. She remained in the Air Force Reserves and is stationed at Maxwell AFB as an instructor for Squadron Officer College and continues to serve at Maxwell AFB. She graduated from Alabama State University in 2014 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree. She had several internships in pediatrics, outpatient orthopedics, chronic pain with the Veterans Healthcare, observation in prosthetics, acute care, and rehab hospital. She has had numerous job experiences including outpatient orthopedic and vestibular rehab at the Veterans Healthcare System in Tuskegee, AL and with Advanced Travel Physical Therapy in FL at assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and home health. She started with Fyzical Therapy and Balance on December 1, 2017.
Janet completed Fyzical Therapy and Balance level 2 Balance and Vestibular Course.

Lance Whorton MSPT, MTC
Lance graduated from Maryville College in St Louis MO in 1991 with his Bachelors of Science degree in physical therapy. In 2000, Lance graduated from the University of Indianapolis with his Master's Degree in Physical Therapy. His thesis paper "The treatment of chronic cervicogenic headaches" was published in the international Journal of Manual and Manipulative Physical Therapy that year. Lance has worked in a variety of settings since graduating, but his passion is treating headaches, the spine and teaching injury prevention techniques.
In 1999, Lance passed his Manual Therapy Certification examination through the University of St Augustine. He has extensive training in manual therapy, industrial medicine and ergonomics. He has spoken nationally and internationally on various topics.
In 2010, Lance received his Master's of Divinity Degree from Asbury Seminary in Wilmore Kentucky. He is an ordained elder in the Free Methodist Church. In 2016 Lance and his wife, Laurie, started a new church in Navarre Florida. Lance's hobbies include Hunting, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding and hiking in addition to various family and church activities.
Aubrey L. Toole, PT, DPT, OCS
Aubrey was born and raised in Pace, FL. She graduated from Pace High School in 2010 and then attended Troy University where she received a degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in German. In 2013-2014 she studied abroad in Heidelberg, Germany where she took intensive German courses and enjoyed traveling throughout Europe. When she returned to the US, she attended the University of South Alabama (USA) in Mobile, AL. In 2018, she graduated from USA with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She worked for two years at an outpatient clinic in Birmingham, AL and eventually was promoted to clinic director of a clinic in Irondale, AL.
Aubrey completed an orthopedic residency program through Upstream Rehab Institute in December of 2019 with a focus on becoming an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). She also trained in Trigger Point Dry Needling (TPDN) and modern pain science. She enjoys treating all types of orthopedic conditions and has an interest in pursuing other certifications such as lymphedema and Women's health.
Aubrey enjoys running, traveling, swing dancing, and spending time with her family and friends.
Tyler Goodman, DPT
Education and Work Experience
Tyler graduated with his Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida in 2007. After graduation, he pursued a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and graduated in 2012. After receiving his doctorate he specialized in orthopedics for 9 years, with prior experience in both skilled nursing and acute care settings. Tyler has lived in Niceville for the past 5-years and joined the Fyzical team in 2020.
Tyler's background in therapy includes experience with Maitland Manual Therapy, Blood Flow Restriction Training, Concussion Research, and Development Team for the Andrews Institute, and SFMA level 1 certification.
Tyler has a passion for NFL, experience as a professional football scout for the Denver Broncos. He has two sons, and has been married to his wife Amy for 11 years. He enjoys spending time with his immediate family, playing golf, coaching youth sports, going to the beach, and staying active.
Rebecca Monceaux, DPT
Education and Work Experience
Rebecca grew up in Louisiana and attended William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi graduating with a degree in Biology. After receiving her undergraduate degree she pursued a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at South College in Knoxville, Tennessee. Her specific area of interest within the Physical Therapy profession is orthopedics. She has a passion for treating the shoulder and knee. Rebecca joined Fyzical Therapy and Balance Centers in the summer of 2020.
Rebecca is currently working towards becoming a certified sports specialist to enhance her knowledge of treating the athletic population.
Rebecca is from Lake Charles, Louisiana, and is a Louisiana native. She was a student-athlete in college and played softball for all four years of undergraduate which fuels her interest in treating athletes. She continues to stay active as a new Floridian by swimming at the beach, hiking, and playing arcaded basketball. She also loves attending sporting events.
Alex Howard, CFSC Wellness and Fitness Manager
In 2015, Alex completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Dance Education from Towson University. With an interest in physical therapy, she began working as a physical therapy tech in many different offices, schools and settings in her home state of Connecticut. In 2019, she relocated with her significant other to the Crestview area and became a personal trainer. After receiving her Functional Strength Coach certification, her main goal as a trainer is to improve others’ quality of life through movement. She still aspires to become a physical therapist and enjoys working with and learning from physical therapists and patients alike.
